The vineyards of Caldòsa and Pulcheddu, situated in the windswept granite landscapes above Palau, produce Vermentino of exceptional aromatic clarity. Meticulous manual harvest and a two-part fermentation—first on the skins, then via soft pressing—give Caldòsa its layered identity: pineapple, orange zest, almond, and a touch of honey. Freshness and salinity combine with structure, making it a benchmark expression of Gallura. Unparalleled since its first release, Caldòsa captures the wind, light and maritime flavours of northern Sardinia.

Caldòsa shows a straw-yellow colour with bright reflections. The bouquet opens with pineapple, orange, almond and subtle honey notes. On the palate, the wine is dry, intense and balanced, combining elegance with a characteristic mineral and saline edge. The finish is long, vibrant and Mediterranean in spirit.

Pairing: Excellent with flavourful fish dishes, shellfish, medium-aged cheeses, and ideally enjoyed during evenings by the sea.

Fratelli Puddu is a family-run winery rooted in the historic wine culture of Oliena, where Cannonau has shaped viticulture for generations. Founded in 1976, the estate has grown gradually from a small family venture into a modern winery that still works in close harmony with its land. Today, the Puddu family cultivates around 30 hectares of vineyards and an additional 15 hectares of olive groves, focusing on local varieties such as Cannonau, Nera di Oliena, and Bosana.

The winery lies at the foot of Monte Corrasi, the white-dolomite massif that dominates the Supramonte. This dramatic landscape—marked by Mediterranean scrub, wild herbs, and high biodiversity—creates a distinctive environment for grape growing. Here, decomposed granite soils with limestone elements and significant day–night temperature shifts shape wines with marked freshness, fine tannins, and aromatic concentration.

Cannonau remains the heart of the estate. In Oliena, this variety finds one of its most expressive forms, recognized through the DOC Cannonau di Sardegna – Nepente di Oliena subzone. Fratelli Puddu produces both traditional expressions and innovative interpretations, guided by a philosophy that combines respect for tradition, continuous quality improvement, and careful experimentation. Organic vineyard practices further emphasize the connection between the family and their land.

Fratelli Puddu continues to embody the agricultural heritage of Oliena, crafting wines that reflect the local terroir while looking confidently toward the future.

Production method

Manual harvesting takes place during the first ten days of September. Grapes are hand-selected to ensure optimal ripeness and aromatic integrity.

Fermentation on Skins

After destemming, fermentation begins on the skins for 3 days at 12 °C using selected yeasts, extracting aromatic compounds and subtle tannic structure.

Free-Run Must & Soft Pressing

Once drawn off, the free-run must continues fermenting with new selected yeasts. The remaining must is soft-pressed and kept separate for 24 hours at 7 °C, preserving delicacy and freshness.

Blend & Completion of Fermentation

The two musts are blended and fermentation continues until all sugars are consumed.

Stabilisation & Ageing

The wine undergoes rackings and tartaric stabilisation at –3 °C for 10 days, followed by 6–8 months of ageing in stainless steel and further bottle refinement.

🍇 Selection

At Tresmundi, every wine is chosen with the utmost care – guided by the expertise of a certified wine professional with WSET Level 2. With deep knowledge of viticulture, winemaking, and tasting, we ensure that every bottle in our collection meets the highest standards of quality, balance, and character.

We focus on wines that tell a story – whether it’s a hidden gem from a small family estate or a timeless classic from a renowned region. What we offer is more than a drink: it’s an experience.

Food and wine are two of our greatest passions. They are among the richest and most rewarding pleasures in life – and we indulge in them as often as possible. When selecting our producers, we consider not only taste, appearance, or awards, but also their values, traditions, and sense of place. Above all, we value passion and respect for nature and craftsmanship. We make sure that each producer’s philosophy and vision are reflected in every drop.

Our focus lies on small, family-run wineries that work with dedication and heart. Every wine has a story worth telling. You won’t find these bottles in supermarkets – nor in the vast catalogs of large online retailers. Our wines, and the stories they tell, are meant to be discovered and appreciated.

🏡 Storage

For us, every wine tasting is a sensual experience. Proper storage therefore plays a crucial role in preserving quality.

All wines in our selection at Tresmundi are kept in a specially designed wine cellar in Hamburg, maintained with controlled temperature, humidity, and sound insulation.

Bottles are stored horizontally and away from light sources, ensuring the cork remains in contact with the wine to prevent unwanted oxidation. This careful process allows each wine to develop beautifully and reach you in perfect condition.

📦 Delivery

Our wines are shipped in certified DHL packaging designed specifically for safe wine transport (for wine orders only). If your order includes other products, we wrap each bottle securely in bubble wrap to minimize the risk of breakage.
