Grown on decomposed granite in the mountainous area of Oliena, the grapes develop intense aroma concentration, lively acidity and floral-fruit charm. The Charmat method preserves the bright varietal character of Cannonau, resulting in rose petals, small red berries, cherry and a subtle bread-crust complexity.

The continuous, fine perlage and saline finish echo the purity of Oliena’s terroir, while the wine’s name, “Baloi,” reflects lightness, celebration and the vibrant character of Sardinian rosé spumante.

Baloi Rosé Brut displays a brilliant light pink colour with a fine, continuous perlage. The bouquet reveals rose, wild red berries and a touch of bread crust. On the palate, the wine is dry, fresh, rich in sapidity, with pleasant salinity and a hint of residual sugar that enhances elegance. The finish is clean, lively and delicately aromatic.

Pairing: Excellent with meat appetizers, lightly spicy cured meats, soft cheeses, shellfish, fresh fish, citrus-dressed salads and prosciutto–melon.

Fratelli Puddu is a family-run winery rooted in the historic wine culture of Oliena, where Cannonau has shaped viticulture for generations. Founded in 1976, the estate has grown gradually from a small family venture into a modern winery that still works in close harmony with its land. Today, the Puddu family cultivates around 30 hectares of vineyards and an additional 15 hectares of olive groves, focusing on local varieties such as Cannonau, Nera di Oliena, and Bosana.

The winery lies at the foot of Monte Corrasi, the white-dolomite massif that dominates the Supramonte. This dramatic landscape—marked by Mediterranean scrub, wild herbs, and high biodiversity—creates a distinctive environment for grape growing. Here, decomposed granite soils with limestone elements and significant day–night temperature shifts shape wines with marked freshness, fine tannins, and aromatic concentration.

Cannonau remains the heart of the estate. In Oliena, this variety finds one of its most expressive forms, recognized through the DOC Cannonau di Sardegna – Nepente di Oliena subzone. Fratelli Puddu produces both traditional expressions and innovative interpretations, guided by a philosophy that combines respect for tradition, continuous quality improvement, and careful experimentation. Organic vineyard practices further emphasize the connection between the family and their land.

Fratelli Puddu continues to embody the agricultural heritage of Oliena, crafting wines that reflect the local terroir while looking confidently toward the future.

Production method

The grapes are manually harvested in crates to ensure gentle handling and optimum integrity.

Skin Contact & Clarification

The free-run must undergoes approximately 12 hours of skin contact to extract colour and delicate aromas. It is then clarified, decanted and filtered.

Charmat Fermentation

The clarified must is transferred into pressure tanks (autoclaves), where fermentation begins with selected yeasts. The sparkling fermentation lasts 15–20 days at controlled temperatures.

Stabilization & Bottling

After fermentation, the wine undergoes cold stabilization in a hyperbaric environment to encourage tartrate precipitation, followed by hyperbaric filtration. It is then bottled and corked under pressure.

🍇 Selection

At Tresmundi, every wine is chosen with the utmost care – guided by the expertise of a certified wine professional with WSET Level 2. With deep knowledge of viticulture, winemaking, and tasting, we ensure that every bottle in our collection meets the highest standards of quality, balance, and character.

We focus on wines that tell a story – whether it’s a hidden gem from a small family estate or a timeless classic from a renowned region. What we offer is more than a drink: it’s an experience.

Food and wine are two of our greatest passions. They are among the richest and most rewarding pleasures in life – and we indulge in them as often as possible. When selecting our producers, we consider not only taste, appearance, or awards, but also their values, traditions, and sense of place. Above all, we value passion and respect for nature and craftsmanship. We make sure that each producer’s philosophy and vision are reflected in every drop.

Our focus lies on small, family-run wineries that work with dedication and heart. Every wine has a story worth telling. You won’t find these bottles in supermarkets – nor in the vast catalogs of large online retailers. Our wines, and the stories they tell, are meant to be discovered and appreciated.

🏡 Storage

For us, every wine tasting is a sensual experience. Proper storage therefore plays a crucial role in preserving quality.

All wines in our selection at Tresmundi are kept in a specially designed wine cellar in Hamburg, maintained with controlled temperature, humidity, and sound insulation.

Bottles are stored horizontally and away from light sources, ensuring the cork remains in contact with the wine to prevent unwanted oxidation. This careful process allows each wine to develop beautifully and reach you in perfect condition.

📦 Delivery

Our wines are shipped in certified DHL packaging designed specifically for safe wine transport (for wine orders only). If your order includes other products, we wrap each bottle securely in bubble wrap to minimize the risk of breakage.
