Our story
Where it all began
Tresmundi was born from our love for Italy, first through deep friendships in Sardinia, and later across Veneto, Puglia, Tuscany, Latium, and Basilicata, shaped by our shared passion for honest, natural food.
From the beginning, we have been guided by one simple idea: food tastes best when you know where it comes from, how it is produced, and who stands behind it.
What Tresmundi means
The name Tresmundi comes from the Latin words tres (three) and mundus (world), expressing the idea of “three worlds.” For us, these three worlds are body, mind, and nature - the forces that shape how we live, how we eat, and how we feel.
Good food nourishes the body while shared meals and real relationships feed the mind.
And respectful farming keeps us connected to the natural world that sustains everything.
When these three worlds are in balance, we feel healthier, more grounded, and more alive.
Our way of sourcing
We work directly with small farmers, millers, beekeepers, olive growers, and family producers who cultivate their land with care, respect, and long-standing knowledge.
By sourcing at origin, we are able to guarantee what matters most: transparent provenance, responsible farming, and products that truly reflect their place.
A journey across Italy
We love to travel, to cook, and to spend time in nature — and every year we cross Italy from north to south, visiting the people who grow, harvest, mill, press, bake, and preserve the foods we love.
Along these journeys, we have learned something essential: in Italy, food is never just a product. It is memory, pride, family, and identity. From a mountain dairy in the Veneto to an olive grove in Tuscany, from small farms in Latium to coastal producers in Puglia, every place tells its own story through what it grows and how it is shared.
These encounters have shaped Tresmundi.
They taught us that true quality is not created in abstraction, but in relationships — in knowing the land, the seasons, and the hands behind every ingredient.
Roots in Sardinia
Our personal journey began in Barbagia, Sardinia — a mountain region known as one of the world’s Blue Zones, where people have long been recognised for their longevity and vitality.
Although our story began there, our heart belongs to all of Italy. Each region we visit adds another layer to our understanding of what honest food really means: respect for origin, care for the land, and a deep responsibility toward those who eat what you produce.
We learned that wellbeing grows from simple things: local food, strong communities, physical work, and deep respect for nature.
A Story on Every Table
Tresmundi brings its values to your home through products that tell a story — of land, of people, and of time.
Every product we select comes from a place we have walked, from producers we have met, and from traditions that are still alive in everyday work.
By working directly at origin, we are able to preserve what makes these foods special: their integrity, their character, and their deep connection to where they come from.
This is not just about quality, but about trust — knowing that what you cook with has been grown, harvested, and crafted with care.
When you open a Tresmundi product, you are not just choosing an ingredient.
You are bringing a small piece of Italy into your kitchen — a landscape, a season, and the hands that shaped it — to be shared, cooked, and enjoyed at your own table.
You are bringing a product that tells a story!
